The DPT Class of 2024 will soon leave campus to begin their final year of clinical experiences. Ninety-five DPT students will mark this milestone by donning their brand new white coats in a ceremony set for 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, at Duke Chapel.

DPT at APTA Annual Meeting
Duke DPT was well represented at the APTA annual meeting in Washington, DC.
Center of Excellence in Manual and Manipulative Therapy Center Funded
The Doctor of Physical Therapy Division, the Department of Orthopaedics, and the School of Medicine have approved the creation of a Center of Excellence in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (CEMMT). The Center will focus on the dissemination of evidence associated with manual therapies through “living” systematic reviews, a repository of study summaries, an active social media presence, a monthly blog, and patient-facing materials on its website.
Tiffany Adams, PT, DPT, MBA Named Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Tiffany Adams, PT, DPT, MBA, Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, Winston-Salem State University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has been named as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Duke University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Adams will begin her new role on August 16, 2021.
