Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistants perform various duties assisting staff and faculty in the OTD division. Eligible students who have completed the FAFSA can apply at the end of their first semester. Graduate Assistants can work up to 19 hours per week and are paid $17.50 per hour. The program intends to hire a limited number of Graduate Assistants each year.

A portion of your education loans may be forgiven by providing occupational therapy services in North Carolina up to $56,000. Learn more.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness

If you're employed by a government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the program and to have the balance of your loan forgiven after a certain number of payments.

Allied Health Scholarships

National AMBUCS, Inc. awards the scholarships ranging from $500–6,000 to students pursuing degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and hearing audiology.

Over $9.1 million in scholarships have been awarded to over 16,000 students with $500-1,500 and one two-year award for $6,000.

American OT Federation Scholarships

More than 50 scholarships are available from the American Occupational Therapy Foundation and state occupational therapy associations with multiple scholarships available up to $5,000. Applicants only have to complete one online form to apply for all qualifying scholarships.
