The Duke Physician Assistant Program has three scholarship funds to provide grant-in-aid awards to deserving students. In the past 10 years, hundreds of Duke PA students have received scholarships through the donations of alumni and others.
You can designate your gift to any of our four funds:
General Scholarship fund
All students are eligible for grants-in-aid awards from the general scholarship fund.
This fund awards scholarships designated for students who are overcoming disadvantaged economic or educational backgrounds, and honors the memories of Fiona Lawrence (Class of 2012) and Marcus Johnson (Class of 2013) who passed away during their enrollment in the PA program. Make a gift to the Striver fund.
Global Health fund
The Global Health Education fund awards scholarships to students participating in the Global Health Elective course to provide financial support of associated expenses such as travel costs and housing in the host country. Make a gift to the Global Health fund.
Additionally, you can support the program via a recently established PA Annual fund.
PA Annual fund
This fund supports the purchase of innovative technology and equipment, hands-on learning opportunities, and curriculum enhancements that prepare PA students to thrive in an evolving healthcare landscape. Contributions to this fund help reduce financial barriers by stabilizing or lowering student fees and overall cost of attendance while advancing educational innovation and maintaining exceptional learning environments.
