Mission
Equip learners to deliver equitable patient-centered care by providing an innovative primary care-focused curriculum, expanding and strengthening community partnerships, and developing leaders in the PA profession.
Educational Philosophy
Our Educational Philosophy assures that we provide a creative and supportive environment for individual learning and growth, within a curriculum that is by necessity highly structured and intense. We view education as a reciprocal, collaborative interaction among faculty and students who are responsible for their own learning. We strive to uphold the values of professionalism in our collegial interactions. We seek continuous quality improvement, and welcome the ideas of all who participate in the program.
Note in the Coat - A Duke PA Celebration
Physician Assistant students at Duke mark their transition from year one learners to year two by receiving their first white coat. The move – from didactic to clinical learning – is a milestone worth celebrating. Every white coat came with a surprise note penned by PA alumni.
