Duke Next Generation Leaders is an initiative at Duke aimed at bringing together cohorts of talented postdoctoral scientists and mentoring them on academic faculty careers.

Joseph Jackson, MD, from the Department of Pediatrics has been selected as a member of the second class admitted to the National Academy of Distinguished Educators in Pediatrics.

  On 3/22/23, Dr. Cynthia Kuhn, Professor of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, spoke to new faculty about the processes and strategies to get promoted in the basic sciences. The seminar "Appointments, Promotion, and Tenure (APT) in the Basic Sciences" was part of SOM Academic New Faculty Orientation series.

Registration open: Gopen Writing Seminar and Write Winning Grants Seminars   Registration is now open for a series of seminars to be held this summer in support of scholarly writing and grantwriting for Duke faculty, trainees, and staff.
