Duke University School of Medicine is proud to acknowledge the faculty members who were selected as recipients of this year’s School of Medicine faculty awards.

The PROMISE Study an NIH-funded research study to bolster diversity in the biomedical workforce, is currently recruiting participants.

On 5/11/23, the 2022-2023 SOM Academic New Faculty Orientation series concluded with the seminar "Safeguarding your research". This seminar was open to all faculty and focused on new faculty within the basic sciences.

Duke Next Generation Leaders is an initiative at Duke aimed at bringing together cohorts of talented postdoctoral scientists and mentoring them on academic faculty careers.

Joseph Jackson, MD, from the Department of Pediatrics has been selected as a member of the second class admitted to the National Academy of Distinguished Educators in Pediatrics.

Dr. Anne West, MD, PhD led faculty in a fantastic discussion of what it means to be a PI and a mentor. The presentation considered what a mentor is (and what qualities make a good mentor) in light of the numerous leadership challenges a PI might face. Please check out Dr.
