The Office for Faculty is excited to share our 2022-2023 Annual Year in Review. In this document, you will find a summary of our work for the 2022-2023 academic year as well as resources that might be helpful to Duke School of Medicine Faculty.

The Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and the Office for Faculty are working together to host a School of Medicine - New Faculty Orientation follow up session for new Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Faculty (UREF).

The Office for Research Mentoring is offering a multi-session training opportunity adapted from the National Research Mentoring Network’s curriculum to guide both novice and experienced mentors and provide tools and resources to improve the mentor and mentee experience.

Starting a new faculty appointment is an exciting and challenging opportunity, and whether you joined Duke this month or last year, we want to make sure you have the tools and support to hit the ground running and to navigate your career here.

While this series of seminars specifically targets faculty hired in the past three years, all faculty may join and many of the topics addressed are applicable to faculty regardless of career stage.

The Office for Faculty Advancement (OFA) and the Office for Institutional Equity (OIE) are offering two in-person and one virtual workshop this fall for faculty serving on search committees and staff who support faculty searches.

Introducing our "Speed Mentoring" event, where structured conversations will facilitate meaningful connections, potentially paving the way for future mentorships, research partnerships, and avenues for career advancement.
