DOCR Service Centers
The DOCR Service Centers offer a variety of services needed to conduct research at Duke. Staff members maintain CITI-training and are skilled in most aspects of study conduct. Services include study coordination, nursing, translation/interpretation, laboratory and regulatory services, recruitment, APP services and more. All work performed by the DOCR Service Centers requires an agreement signed by the PI and reviewed by CRU administration.
In addition, we are proud to offer three clinical research dedicated sites: Research at Pickett Road (R@P), Duke Early Phase Research Unit (DEPRU) and Duke Regional Hospital. Our facilities are equipped with the latest technology and staffed by experienced professionals dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care.

The Service Centers are Duke School of Medicine service centers with approved rates that are reviewed annually. New rates will be available each July and posted on this website. CoreResearch @Duke is utilized to distribute invoices monthly and are usually sent the month after services are rendered. Estimates are provided prior to the start of services, but all actual services will be charged. If any pass-through costs are required, the service centers will request permission in writing from the PI and/or grants manager (email is acceptable) prior to charges being incurred.
