OBGE offers a centralized 1st-year graduate curriculum under the BIOTRAIN course code that integrates elements of both the formal curriculum (technical and operational skills) and hidden curriculum (professional skills) to allow students to fully and holistically develop as independent scientists poised to pursue diverse health-related careers. The curriculum uses interactive learning and community building approaches to engage biomedical graduate students in foundational skill training and prepare them for external experiential learning opportunities.
