2023 Transformational Leadership Award LATIN-19 Executive Team

A diverse team of Duke faculty and community advocates created LATIN-19 (Latinx Advocacy Team and Interdisciplinary Network for COVID-19) in March 2020 to advocate for and bring awareness to the needs of the Latinx community in North Carolina during the COVID-19 crisis.

Duke OTD students have been exposed to how sexual identities shape and are shaped by occupation. That connection has been the focus of research in Occupational Science for several decades. Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2024 White Coat Ceremony

Ninety-five Doctor of Physical Therapy students received their new crisp white coats in a ceremony at the Duke Chapel today.  The Class of 2024 White Coat Ceremony marked a milestone for the students who have finished the didactic portion of the program and set out to begin a year of clinical experiences before graduating next May. Sunny Yang Liu

Sunny Yang Liu is a 3rd year medical student enrolled in the Master of Management in Clinical Informatics program. He is originally from Singapore, where he served in the military. Liu graduated from the University of Chicago and began his journey with Duke’s medical school in 2020. He plans to apply to the family medicine residency program within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
