Stop by to meet, talk with, and/or get a KIND Bar from Dr. Jane Gagliardi, Associate Dean for Learning Environment and Well-Being! Stay as long (or as little) as you like.  KIND Bars (and occasional other bar-like treats) provided.

Thursday September 11th

The Duke Farmers Market - text over a basket of strawberries

Duke Farmers Market | 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Outside of TSCHE

about 15 to 20 local vendors are expected each week, selling fresh fruits and vegetables and prepared foods. Food trucks will also be on site each week.  

Friday September 12 - "Fantastic Friday"

Spend time coloring or paint a river rock (or two) with encouraging words for yourself or others!  Around noon, Dr. Michael Iwama will discuss the Kawa Model for occupation and life.  KIND Bars and other bar-like treats will be available.

Pizza will be served until it runs out.

The STEAD TREAD - Register to run with Duke's Medicine in Motion Team!  The Stead Tread is a 5K race/run/walk that will take place on Saturday 9/20 at 9 a.m. starting at Solite Park.  Proceeds benefit the Lincoln Community Health Center.  

Students have asked about Wednesday Wellness Workshops — and we are busy planning a series of Terrific Tuesday events and collaborating with Duke Arts Create, different student organizations, and faculty who are eager to support well-being in the healthcare learning environment.  We are eager for your ideas!  Please let us know if you have ideas or feedback for wellness-promoting activities.
