Spotlight on: The Peer Collective

On Wednesday February 4, students stopped by the Peer Collective "Valentine's Day Gift Bags" creation station in the IPE Building lobby and created gift bags of gratitude and recognition.

What is The Peer Collective?  A group of interprofessional SOM students who undertook training to hone their skills in areas of active listening and empathic validation.  The group meets monthly with psychology predoctoral intern Eva Bartsch and peer support expert Dr. McLean Pollock to discuss activities and plans for promoting connection and community.

Thanks to this year's Peer Facilitators - Jeana ChunAlana DavidsonCasey FarrellSamantha FortierVarun IndugulaTorrey MansurBrian Nguyen and Sofi Ramos Fortanelli - for the compassion, creativity and connection they bring to the learning environment!  Thanks also to Dr. McLean Pollock and Eva Bartsch for their time and energy!

Peer Facilitators will bring themselves and materials to assemble appreciation gift bags this week!  Stop by TSCHE Floor 6 on Tuesday 12-1 p.m. and/or
