Suephy Chen named new chair of Department of Dermatology
Suephy C. Chen, MD, MS, has been named the new chair of the Department of Dermatology, effective January 4, 2021. Dr. Chen is Vice Chair and Professor of Dermatology at Emory University. She also serves as director of the Emory Dermatology Center for Outcomes Research and Safety and as director of TeleDermatology for the Regional TeleHealth Service of the VA Southeast Network.
Root Causes highlighted on ABC 11 News - PCLT
Root Causes, a program founded by Duke Medical Students in 2017, is helping the food insecure in the Durham community. Their mission is to "aim to work as health professionals to support the sustainable and humane production of food in combination with access to healthy food. Through our programs, we hope to involve the Duke medical community in improving the health of our patients and community through a stronger local food system."
The program was highlighted on ABC 11 News.

In alignment with an announcement made yesterday by Duke University President Vincent Price and Provost Sally Kornbluth, indicating that Duke will freeze undergraduate tuition to the same level as the 2019-2020 academic year, the School of Medicine has made the decision to do the same for all School of Medicine educational programs.
