The mission of the School of Medicines ME² (Motivate, Mentor, Educate & Empower) Black Employee Resource Group is to foster a community focused on networking, professional development, and leadership opportunities for Black staff.

ME2 implements the mission by creating programming and activities that focus on the following five pillars:

To provide administrative efficiency that will  keep the ME² Black Employee Resource Group well organized and productive. With a goal of operational excellence this pillar will connect and support the other pillars as needed.

Volunteering

To provide a strong volunteer presence with the goal of enhancing and continuously growing robust relationships between staff and the communities that surround Duke.  As a community stakeholder, it is  important that we build sustainable relationships.

Social Engagement 

To assist Black staff in the creation of strong professional networks that can be key to career success. The path to creating authentic connections often happens during social events, making the social engagement pillar a vital part of the ME² Black Employee Resource Group structure.
