The Community Committee is an essential resource group dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and empowered environment within the Duke community. We are committed to amplifying our visibility through impactful volunteer initiatives and community engagements, ensuring that our rich cultural heritage and contributions shine brightly both within Duke and in the wider community. Moreover, we champion strategic collaborations, forging partnerships that propel our collective goals, enhance opportunities, and drive meaningful advancements for all community members. Born from a rich tapestry of Latiné/Hispanic cultures, histories, and experiences, our committee is anchored on three fundamental pillars:
- Promote the integration of our Latiné/Hispanic staff into our larger Duke enterprise
- Brand visibility through volunteer and community-based opportunities
- Form strategic partnerships within our Duke community and external organizations to advance our mission
