The School of Medicine Office of Space Management and Research Resources supports the use and oversight of our space and Service Centers to enable the dynamic and variable needs of our school.
The Space Management team partners with the University’s various entities to manage high level space planning and facilitates all construction projects for the School of Medicine. Additionally, the team partners with School of Medicine departments and the University’s Real Estate partners, to ensure all School of Medicine facilities are functioning as needed on a day-to-day basis.
The Space Management team also manages the large-scale meeting spaces within the School of Medicine, including the booking of event spaces in order to assist in the coordination of the School’s numerous academic and administrative events.
The Research Resources office assists the School’s departments, centers and institutes with all aspect of service center management, including conception of new service centers, through to rate approvals and billing.
Research Resources
Duke University and School of Medicine service centers offer state-of-the-art research support services and facilities to Duke investigators. Over 70 service centers provide expertise in a broad range of research needs. Housed and administered by the School’s departments, institutes, and centers, these service centers are staffed by experts in their fields and are available to the Duke research community.
Our office provides administrative oversight of the School of Medicine Service Centers.
