Mission

The Duke University School of Medicine believes equity, diversity, and inclusion are essential to the culture and climate of our organization. The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI) aims to nurture, magnify, and share these values through our mission to:  

  • Bring people, ideas, and resources together to create practices and policies rooted in equity, diversity, and inclusion 
  • Provide ongoing learning and development opportunities to promote engagement and belonging  
  • Build and sustain an environment based on transparency and accountability
