Zoom panel discussion about APT

On 11/17/22, faculty in the School of Medicine joined the Office for Faculty in a discussion of the process and pathways for promotion in the clinical sciences.

Dr. James Tcheng (Assistant Dean for Academic Appointments) discussed "Getting Promoted in the Clinical Sciences: The ABCs of APT" and Dr. Mara Becker (Vice Dean for Faculty) explored "Sharing your Accomplishments and and Building your Academic Reputation: The Graceful Art of Self-Promotion". The lecture was followed by a panel discussion of APT leaders representing a range of career pathways. This seminar was part of the SOM Academic New Faculty Orientation (NFO) series and was most relevant for faculty in the clinical sciences or basic science faculty in a clinical department.

Unable to attend? Please see our Recorded Seminars page for this session and other available NFO session recordings.

Register for the series! Orientation details and registration are available online. While content is geared to faculty hired in the past three years, all faculty are welcome. Faculty may sign up for one of our tailored orientation pathways.
