Register now! Spring 2020 - School of Medicine Financial Boot Camp

The School of Medicine Financial Boot Camp is a multi-part series designed to help faculty understand core finance issues with a focus on medical school economics. Participants will receive an introduction to financial concepts that impact institutional decision making, such as the time value of money and cost of capital. The series will also focus on the School of Medicine funding and the allocation of funding from different sources. Participants will learn about the cost of and funding for the research mission. Sessions will be interactive and include realistic case-based discussions focused on understanding the differences between Duke Health entities and the resolution of these variances. The ultimate goal is to build awareness of financial decision-making and to empower faculty to be able to fully engage in discussions about finances at the program, department, and school levels. For more information and to register click here.
