The Team Behind Every Dream

Duke Orthopaedics is pleased to host the George S. E. Aitken Visiting Professorship, welcoming Elizabeth Joneschild, MD, of the Seattle Hand Surgery Group, as this year's visiting professor. Dr. Joneschild will present "The Team Behind Every Dream," a talk exploring the collaborative foundations of excellence in orthopaedic care, education, and leadership-values that deeply reflect the spirit of this professorship. The George S.E. Aitken Visiting Professorship honors the legacy of George S. E. Aitken, MD, a beloved Duke orthopaedic surgeon, educator, and mentor. A Duke residency graduate, Dr. Aitken was instrumental in advancing patient care, education, and outreach, and is remembered for his compassion, commitment to teamwork, and dedication to the Duke Orthopaedics community.
