The ​IDEALS Office works to support talented graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at the Duke University School of Medicine and to enrich their experiences over the course of their training and studies.

The IDEALS office hosts a series of programs including professional development opportunities, academic enrichment groups, mentoring programs, and social activities. Our signature initiatives for trainees include Duke PRIME-PREP for post-baccalaureate trainees and the BioCoRE program for PhD students in the basic and biomedical sciences. We are dedicated to maintaining a welcoming climate and celebrating the richly unique scientific community at Duke University.
