Faculty presenting power point to basic science faculty

The basic science new faculty orientation pathway of the SOM Academic New Faculty Orientation (NFO) series continued with a wonderful seminar on 11/30/22, featuring speakers Johnna Frierson, PhD (IDEALS Office), Molly Starback, MSLS (Office of Postdoctoral Services), and Beth Sullivan, PhD (Office of Biomedical Graduate Education).

A sampling of discussion points included an overview of the structure and organization of Duke PhD programs, expectations for teaching and mentoring students, how to recruit graduate students to your lab, resources available to support postdocs, and initiatives to support diversity in training programs.

We hope you join us for upcoming New Faculty Orientation sessions. All faculty are welcome. Learn more about registration and selecting your tailored pathway here.
