Panel discussion of basic science faculty

On 11/2/22 the SOM Academic New Faculty Orientation (NFO) series kicked off the basic science tailored pathway with a session on “Lab Science Introduction and Starting a Lab”.

Vice Dean for Basic Sciences Colin Duckett, PhD introduced the Basic Science office and supporting offices and moderated a roundtable discussion on faculty experiences. Roundtable participants Anita Disney PhD, Katie Meyer, PhD, and Kris Wood, PhD gave testimonials about what worked well in their experiences and offered advice for the new faculty. This seminar was most relevant for basic science faculty in either a basic science or clinical department.

Register for the series! Orientation details and registration are available online. While content is geared to faculty hired in the past three years, all faculty are welcome. Faculty may sign up for one of our tailored orientation pathways.
