Hi all! My name is Seth Kornbau, and I’m a first year PCLT student. I grew up just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022 with a B.S. in Economics and minors in chemistry and history. I took one gap year in Pittsburgh where I worked full-time as an MA in an outpatient pediatrics office at UPMC Children’s Hospital, volunteered as an ESL tutor, and learned lots of new crockpot recipes. My current clinical interests are family medicine, pediatrics, IM-peds, psychiatry, and FM/Psych. I’m particularly interested in the economics of healthcare, quality improvement, population health, and the intersection of medicine and the humanities. I am involved in the Fremont Clinic, DukeMed Econ, Narratives, Moral Movements in Medicine, DukeMed Elementary, and Student Coalition for Addiction Recovery. In my free time, I love playing the tenor saxophone with my amazing classmates, watching movies, and thrifting. Please reach out to me with any questions about PCLT or DukeMed in general (sck43@duke.edu)!
