Sara Bernate-Angulo

Sara Bernate Angulo is a first-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine in the Primary Care Leadership Track.

She studied public health, nutrition, and English literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go heels!) and worked two gap years in Washington, D.C. as a public health and healthcare research analyst. Her interests lie in optimizing nutrition, enhancing cultural accessibility to care, and improving maternal and child health, particularly in underserved and marginalized populations.

In her free time, Sara enjoys reading, running, and tasting every cappuccino available in Durham one coffee shop at a time.
