Hello! I pivoted to a career in medicine after transitioning away from working at a start up and non-profit and towards clinical research. Before Duke, I worked as a research assistant at the Boston Children's Female Athlete Program while coaching high school girls running, spent a year in Tunisia conducting antidoping and sports medicine research on a Fulbright, and worked as an adaptive ski instructor in Colorado.
At Duke, I have pursued my interests by serving on the Institutional Review Board (IRB), volunteering as an advocate with the Black Maternal Health Equity Initiative, volunteer-instructing at the North Carolina Adaptive Ski Week, contributing to female athlete research, participating in medical student global health exchange, and attending humanities and ethics programming.
Please reach out with any questions, including my "Why Duke;" coming to medicine after some professional experience; female athlete and international sports medicine research; adaptive recreation; humanities and ethics; and more!
