Hi everyone! My name is Riley, and I'm an MS1 at Duke with interests in EM and Anesthesiology. I'm originally from Wilmington, NC, and went to UNC Chapel Hill for undergrad before swapping sides and joining the Blue Devils! After graduation, I spent 3 gap years working as a paramedic in Orange County. I've also been involved in neuroscience research focused on pain and opioid receptors. Outside of school, I love cooking, reading, staying active, and exploring everything Durham and the surrounding areas have to offer. After living here for a few years, I've accumulated plenty of recommendations, from restaurants and ice cream to things to do around town. DukeMed has an incredible community and so many opportunities/resources to explore any direction you're interested in.
