Hi everyone! I grew up in Southern California before moving up to the Bay Area for undergrad, where I studied public health with a chem minor. I took 1.5 gap years working with a nonprofit and in qualitative, community-based research at Stanford. At Duke, I have loved being on the exec board of LMSA every year, working with community organizations like Root Causes, and mentoring youth through BOOST and SALUD. My research interests include physician communication, language justice, and health equity. I am passionate about mentorship and education, so I have loved getting involved with the clinical courses, point-of-care ultrasound curriculum, and admissions/recruitment.
Outside of school, I love running, reading, cooking, and exploring new food & coffee shops. I am happy to talk about anything related to the application/ admissions process, emergency medicine, extracurriculars, being Latina at Duke, taking an extra research year, or anything else!
