A physical therapist since 2012, Dr. Schmidt has extensive training in orthopaedics and manual therapy. His clinical interests focus on the treatment of spine-related pain, specifically the treatment of chronic pain through education and exercise to help patients restore their quality of life.
Along with overseeing rehabilitation services for Duke University Health System, he teaches within the Duke DPT program and oversees 11 physical therapy and occupational therapy residency and fellowship programs.
