Meghana Iragavarapu
Hi! I’m Meghana, an MS2 and member of the Primary Care Leadership Track. I’m especially drawn to primary care because I love the idea of getting to know patients over time and helping people stay healthy, not just treating illness once it happens.
A lot of my interests sit at the intersection of medicine, nutrition, community health, and policy. Before medical school, I completed an MPH in Nutrition and I’ve spent time working on food-as-medicine initiatives, Medicaid policy, community health, and research related to prevention and chronic disease. I’m particularly interested in lifestyle medicine, obesity and diabetes prevention, maternal and child health, and finding ways to make healthy choices more realistic and accessible for patients in their everyday lives.
Outside of medicine, music is a huge part of who I am. I love listening to just about anything and singing to my heart’s content. I also love experimenting with new ways to eat tofu, finding the best outdoor walking paths, dancing, doing Pilates, and generally finding little ways to make everyday life feel more joyful and connected.
