Hey! My name is Max and I'm originally from Honolulu, Hawai'i. I did undergrad at Harvard where I studied human evolutionary biology. I was motivated to pursue medicine early in life due to the passing of my father and lifelong involvement in the CrossFit exercise program. Broadly, my academic interests lie at the intersection of exercise, mental health, art, education, and medicine. I also love working with kids. Outside of school I'm into eating, working out, gardening, baking, reading, traveling, hitting up the beach, and hiking. This year, I'm looking forward to getting to know Duke and the med community at large.
