My name is Olivia Santos and I am excited to be in the PCLT program! I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and Atlanta, GA and graduated from Duke in 2023 with a degree in Evolutionary Anthology and minor in Religious Studies. During my time as a Duke undergrad, I taught art at Duke Children’s, led the undergraduate chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association, and conducted research on meerkat social behavior. During my gap year I worked with an engineering team developing a portable device for cervical cancer screening. I am passionate about improving the health of women and girls through preventative care, health education, and health systems improvement. I am currently interested in pursuing OBGYN or pediatrics. Outside of school I love baking, sewing, and exploring new restaurants in the Triangle!
