Maliha Bhuiyan

Growing up in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Cary, NC, I have witnessed health disparities on a global level, which has fostered my interest in medicine and public health. During my undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill, I majored in public health with a concentration in nutrition science and research. I also conducted global health research, assessing quality and patient satisfaction of antenatal care services in primary care facilities in Zambia. To further explore my interest in healthcare delivery in underserved communities, I served as an AmeriCorps Medserve Fellow during my two gap years. In the future, I hope to provide humanistic care to my patients via specializing in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Outside of medicine, I love exploring local coffee shops/ bakeries, spending time in nature, and watching cooking shows.
