Lauren Marshall
I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and moved to Raleigh to study Human Biology and Psychology at North Carolina State University, graduating in December 2024. Before coming to Duke, I worked as an emergency department medical scribe and coached rowing for middle and high school students in Apex. As a first‑generation college student, my commitment to service is deeply rooted in equity, humility, and human connection.
At Duke, I have enjoyed collaborating on research related to mental health and caregiver information management. I am pursuing the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate and am involved in SOTA and SSO:USA. In my free time, I enjoy rowing, weightlifting, caring for plants, visiting boba tea shops, and discovering new books.
