Hi! I'm Hunter and I'm a current MS3. I'm originally from northwestern Montana and stayed in my home state for undergrad (Go Griz!). I got my bachelors degree in microbiology while balancing research in a molecular biology lab with involvement in the school of music and marching band. After college, I took two gap years to work in an adult neurology clinic and discovered my passion for caring for older adults and their families.

At DukeMed, I've been involved in the Armstrong Humanities Scholars program, the Student Faculty Show band, admissions recruitment committee and helped found the infectious diseases interest group, InfectED@Duke. I also have a passion for teaching and I'm looking forward to TAing the first year anatomy course this year! Outside of school, I love hiking, camping, and watching college sports! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about life in Durham or staying involved in the humanities during med school!
