Fernando Orozco is an Operations Manager here at Duke University School of Medicine with the Division of Laboratory Animal Resources. He manages a group of skilled comparative medicine specialists who help support and take care of the numerous animal research models for the SoM. Since graduating from North Carolina State University in 2009 with a B.S. in Animal Science, he has found a place he can call home here at Duke. Having lived from New York to central Florida, Fernando and his family has established deep roots on a small farm in Rougemont, NC. He and his family take care of a small farm of dairy goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits. Being a member of the ¡DALHE! Leadership Board has given Fernando an opportunity to have a greater impact on the Latiné community here at Duke. Having both parents from Colombia, he takes great pride in his culture and rich history of Spanish tradition.
