Hey everyone! My name is Emma, and I'm an MS1 interested in Peds Hem/Onc. I'm originally from South Florida but have lived in Durham since middle school, so I have plenty of recs for things to do around the area. I graduated as a neuroscience major from Northwestern in 2024, and during my gap year, I worked as the health programs coordinator with Special Olympics in DC (which is a fancy way of saying I played sports with amazing people the whole year - lucky me :). I'm super excited to be back in my hometown and to be able to regularly attend my favorite spin place, the Sweat Lab, which I'd highly recommend as stress relief to incoming students!!
