I grew up in the tiny town of Bishop, CA, nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I completed my undergrad degree at Point Loma Nazarene University (what a mouthful) in Child and Adolescent Development, with minors in Therapeutic Psychology and Spanish (had to dip my toes in everything!). I love that I used to be a preschool teacher and carry a passion for art and movement-based approaches to building wellness and resiliency in developing humans!
During my time at Duke, I’ve enjoyed collaborating on projects related to climate change, sensory and mental health, and community breakfast programs.
I’m pursuing the OTD Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate and am enrolled in the Moral Movements in Medicine elective courses. Some of my favorite occupations include teaching cycle classes, creating art at the Duke Arts Annex, visiting coffee shops, and making Pinterest boards.
