I grew up in the tiny town of Bishop, California, nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I completed my undergraduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene University in Child and Adolescent Development, with minors in Therapeutic Psychology and Spanish. Before coming to Duke, I worked as a preschool teacher and continue to carry a deep passion for art- and movement-based approaches to fostering wellness and resiliency.

At Duke, I’ve enjoyed collaborating on research and projects related to climate change, sensory and mental health, and community breakfast programs. I’m currently pursuing the OTD Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate and am enrolled in the Moral Movements in Medicine elective. Some of my favorite occupations include teaching cycle classes, creating art at the Duke Arts Annex, visiting coffee shops, and making Pinterest boards.
