Douglas Nyangena is a Quality Assurance Associate in the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Quality (ORAQ) within the Duke University School of Medicine. In his role, he is responsible for performing a variety of quality related tasks with a focus on supporting the Marcus Center for Cellular Cures (MC3) at Duke University School of Medicine.

Douglas received his undergraduate degree BS in Industrial Technology/Engineering from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC  an Associate degree in Biopharmaceutical Technology from Wake Tech Community College, NC and a Bio-Work certificate. Prior to joining the ORAQ team, Douglas had worked for several  pharmaceutical companies as Quality Assurance Specialist III, Manufacturing Quality Engineer, a Biological Quality Analyst, a Supplier Quality Specialist, Production Marker II/Batch Record Reviewer, Operation Technician, and Laboratory technician. Douglas has several skills in Biotechnology, MasterControl, LIMS, ICH, SAP, SOPs, cGMP, OSHA, CFR, ISO, USP/NP, FDA regulations as well as good working knowledge in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
