Derrick Chambers is the HR Departmental Manager for the School of Medicine, Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communications Sciences. In this role, he manages and coordinates personnel activities to include recruitment, placement and termination of employees, classification and salary administration, interpretation of personnel policies, and employee relations functions to meet University and departmental objectives.
He has worked at Duke since March 2020 as an HR Generalist for Duke Health Technology Solutions. Prior to his time at Duke, he served and retired honorably as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, as a Sr. Human Resources Manager. Derrick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Human Resources Management and a SHRM-CP designation.
