Hi - I'm Danyal, a third-year MD-PhD student in Duke's MSTP currently starting my graduate years. I grew up in Michigan studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan before coming to Durham. My research interests are in soft tissue regeneration and repair, sitting at the intersection of computational and experimental approaches. Outside the lab, I'm an enthusiastic eater who will try virtually anything and has lots of opinions about where to find good food. Whether you're curious about the application process, what the physician-scientist training actually looks like day to day, or just want to talk through your options the application cycle, please reach out. I love connecting with prospective students and would be happy to answer any questions, big or small.
