Danna is from Cary, North Carolina, and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She became interested in occupational therapy after discovering how critical it can be for an individual’s physical and mental health to be able to overcome barriers and participate in activities that they find meaningful. Danna was drawn to Duke OTD because of the commitment they have to want to create a positive change both in the field and beyond. As a future occupational therapist, Danna hopes to be able to provide services to underrepresented and minority communities.
