I identify as a friend, middle child, and student of Middle Eastern heritage from Cary, NC. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and became interested in occupational therapy after discovering how critical it can be for an individual’s physical and mental health to overcome barriers and participate in activities they find meaningful.
I was drawn to Duke OTD because of its commitment to create positive change both in the field and beyond. As a future occupational therapist, I hope to provide services to underrepresented and minority communities. In my spare time, I enjoy playing pickleball, watching reality TV, and attending sporting events.
