Christie T. McCray, Ed.D., M.Ed.

Director, Master of Biomedical Sciences

Dr. Christie McCray is responsible for the administrative oversight of the Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) program which includes the MBS finances and budget, recruitment, admissions and student affairs. She serves as the chair on the executive and admissions committees. She is also the course director for the MBS selective, "Intentional Planning for Heath Professions Education." She has over 30 years of professional experience in which more than 22 years have been at Duke Health and Duke School of Medicine. She has been with the MBS program since its inception in December 2014.

Dr. McCray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management of Information Systems from the University of Mount Olive, a Master of Education in Training and Development from North Carolina State University, and a Doctor of Education in Community College Leadership from North Carolina State University. She is also a certificated professional coach.

Dr. McCray was recognized as a 2025 Belk Center DREAM Fellow and a 2022 recipient of the Duke University School of Medicine’s Michelle P. Winn Inclusive Excellence Award.
