Chloe Miwa
Hello! My name is Chloe Miwa, and I am a member of the PCLT Class of 2029. I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Public Health–Global Health. As an undergraduate, I led research focused on interprofessional education and patient- and family-centered rounds. I then earned my Master of Public Health in Health Care Management from Emory University before completing an Administrative Fellowship at Michigan Medicine. As a fellow, I worked on projects across the medical school, hospitals, and outpatient clinics, including initiatives to expand urgent care access for Family Medicine patients, improve the intra-hospital transport services of critically ill patients, and launch a collaborative demonstration project to strengthen team-based care. These experiences shaped my commitment to primary care and deepened my interests in health care access, care coordination, quality improvement, and interprofessional teamwork. During my time at Duke University, I aspire to become a physician who builds partnerships with patients, families, and communities and draws on their perspectives to inform systems-level efforts that improve the accessibility, coordination, and delivery of care.
