Hola! Soy Charlotte. I am originally from Panama and came to the US for my undergraduate studies at Duke University (graduated class of ’13). After becoming a Research Assistant for one of our studies at the Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development in 2015, I stepped into the role of Regulatory Coordinator in 2016, and am currently also part of the Autism Center of Excellence Dissemination and Outreach Core, which aims to increase bidirectional communication with the communities we serve through our research. In addition to regulatory coordination across many of our center’s studies, I help to translate consent forms, and study documents, recruit Spanish-speaking participants, and serve as an interpreter in research diagnostic evaluations. I am thrilled to be part of ¡DALHE!, and to be helping to co-lead our Community Committee!
