I'm originally from Hendersonville, NC, and also identify as a sister, continual learner, advocate, friend, leader, and traveler. My love for North Carolina grew while I was in Boone completing my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University (Go ‘Neers) and continues to grow now that I'm in Durham.
My learning experiences have consistently led me toward working with older adults, and now I am pursuing Duke OTD certificates in Low Vision and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
My roles within the OTD program include being a graduate assistant (where I was encouraged to design and lead our very first Open House), research assistant, AOTA Student Representative, and former SOTA president. My favorite occupations include spending time with my dog, skiing, reading, and cooking. I would love to answer any questions about OT school, certificate programs, student leadership and life in NC.
