Hi everyone, my name is Bryan and I'm a first year medical student in the MSTP at Duke. I was born in El Paso, Texas and grew up in both Juarez, Mexico and El Paso. I graduated in 2023 from the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in neuroscience and was involved in a neurodevelopmental research lab for 2 years.
After undergrad I completed a 2 year research postbacc (ACS-DICR VERTICAL) at Vanderbilt University. During this time I had the opportunity to combine my clinical and research interests as well as exploring new fields. This experience solidifed my interest in pursuing a dual MD-PhD degree.
