Brian is an OTD student from Durham, NC. He completed a degree in Exercise & Sport Science and General Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. Brian's interest in OT stems from witnessing the marginalization of minority groups and wanting to improve the situation. The goal of diversity and inclusiveness drew Brian to Duke's OTD program. In the future, Brian aims to promote inclusiveness and diversity in marginalized and minority communities as an occupational therapist while caring for others. OT is more than just an eight-hour employment for Brian; it enables his doing, being, belonging, and becoming.
