I am an African American, first-generation graduate student, born and raised in Lexington, NC—a town often called the "BBQ Capital of the World." I attended UNC-Charlotte for undergrad and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
Here at Duke OTD, I've been a member of two student led OT organizations, COTAD and SOTA, and am currently co-president of the North Carolina Black Occupational Therapy Collective.
Post-graduation, my long-term goal is to practice in the NICU or maternal OT, working with mothers. Some of my favorite occupations are spending time with family and friends, listening to music, watching tv shows and movies, coloring, and trying new activities (I'm trying to find a hobby 😁).
