Betsy Serrano is currently a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at the Duke Behavioral Health & Technology Lab, since January 2023. She plays a pivotal role in a range of clinical research studies aimed at reducing chronic pain and supporting veterans experiencing posttraumatic stress symptoms in reducing or quitting alcohol consumption. Betsy's responsibilities include coordinating recruitment efforts, data collection, and other key research-related tasks. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychological Science from the University of California, Irvine, and aspires to become a bilingual clinical psychologist and clinical researcher, working to advance trauma and gender-based violence research in Latiné communities. Betsy is thrilled to serve as a board member for the inaugural employee resource group, ¡DALHE!, with a specific emphasis on the culture committee.
