Arizona is a non-traditional student who graduated from Yale College with a degree in Statistics & Data Science before later deciding to study medicine. She attended a pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at the University of Colorado Boulder before coming to Duke for medical school. Her professional interests involve working at the intersection of spirituality and medicine. She is spending her third year doing biomedical engineering research in ophthalmology and training as a hospital chaplain. Outside of her work in medicine, Arizona enjoys teaching salsa classes on the weekend and exploring local backroads by motorcycle.
